Comórtas Aiste Rathúil

[Gaeilge]

I measc an rí rá agus ruaille buaille a bhí i gceist le Seachtain na Gaeilge i mbliana, bhí Glór na Móna páirteach leis dar ndóigh, agus iad ag reáchtáil comórtais aiste úr nua. Fáiltíodh roimh daltaí Gaeilge Bhéal Feirste aiste a chur isteach le deis a fháil scoláireacht a bhuachan le dul chun na Gaeltachta. Bhí dá theideal i gceist leis an gcomórtas mar theoir: ‘An Bhaint atá le Gaeilge i mo Shaol’, agus ‘An Sórt Ceoil is fearr Liom’ a bhí ann agus seoladh aistí dea-scríofa chumasacha istigh. Bronnadh teastais ar na daltaí a ghlac páirt sa chomórtas i rith na hócáide rathúla, Ceiliúradh na nÓg, a bhí ar siúl i gColáiste Feirste ar an 3ú Aibreán mar aitheantas ar sárchaighdeán na n-aistí. Comhghairdeas ó Ghlór na Móna le Aislín Ní Choinn (Coláiste Feirste), Clíodhna Maginn (Naomh Dominic), Blánaid Ní Chearnaigh (Naomh Dominic) agus Aebh McKenna (Naomh Dominic) a bhain an comórtas amach agus a bhfuair scoláireacht le luach £200 an duine. Ba é an comórtas mar chuid d’ iarrachtaí leanúnacha Ghlór na Móna muintir óga na háite a spreagadh chun Gaeilge a fhoghlaim agus a labhairt. Ba mhaith le Glór na Móna buíochas a thabhairt chuig Roinn na Gaeltachta ach go háirithe, a bhí mar uarraitheoir leis an gcomórtas. Tá Glór na Móna ag dul ó neart go neart, a chairde!

Two essay titles were given as direction for the students, ‘The Role that Irish Plays in my Life’ and ‘My Favourite Kind of Music’, and many creative, well-written essays were received. Certificates were presented to all students that took part in the competition during the award ceremony event, Ceiliúradh na nÓg, that took place in Coláiste Feirste on April 3rd, in recognition of the high standard of the entries received.
