20140404_180555D’fhreastal lucht foghlamtha Ghlór na Móna agus Glór an Ghleanna ar thuras Gaeltachta/tumchónaí in éineacht le Ghaelphobal an tSrátha Bháin i nGleann Cholm Cille ag tús an mhí seo chaite. Turas tumchónaithe a  bhí  gceist a solathraíonn deis do fhoghlaimeoirí iad féin a bádh sa Ghaeilge ar feabh deireadh seachtaine iomlán. Agus muid i dTír Chonaill, spreagadh gach duine an Ghaeilge a úsáid oiread agus is féidir. Ba é meana na deireadh seachtaine ná “Gaeilge más féidir, Béarla más gá”  agus chloí gach duine leis. Maith iad!

Baineadh an sult as an deireadh seachtaine le gach duine ag dul in aithne ar a chéile, scoth bith, craic, siamsaíocht agus cuideachta. Bhí siúlóidí agus turais lae againn, tugadh cuairt ar Ionad Cois Locha i Loch an Iúir ar an Domhnach le deireadh a chuir leis an deireadh 20140406_152859seachtaine. Buíochas nach beag do ghach duine a bhí páirteach agus a chur leis an deireadh seachtaine go háirithe ár gcairde Gaelphobal ón tSráth Báin agus na Ceoltóirí a tallannacha a thóg uirlis leo agus a choinnigh an cheol beo an deireadh seachtaine ar fad. 20140404_180555Learners from both Glór na Móna and Glór an Ghleanna attended a Gaeltacht trip in conjunction with Gaelphobal an tSrátha Bháin in Glencolmcille at the beginning of last month. It was an immersion trip and provides learners with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the language for a full weekend. Whilst visiting Donegal, everyone was encouraged to use as much of their Irish as possible. The weekend’s motto was “Irish where possible, English if necessary” and everyone stuck with it. Well done!

The weekend was a thoroughly enjoyable one with everyone getting to know one another, great food, craic, entertainment and company. We had lovely walks as well as day trips, we visited Ionad Cois Locha in Loch an Iúir on the Sunday to finish our trip. A massive thanks to 20140406_152859all who participated, and made the weekend so great. Especially our friends at Gaelphobal, and those who brought their instruments with them and kept the great music going all weekend. An Ghaeilge Abú!
