Féile na Carraige – Lá 3

Maidin Chaife

Bhí maidin chaife againn i Halla Pháraiste Choirp Chríost leis an ghrúpa “Happy go Lucky” de chuid seirbhísí Choirp Chríost mar chuid d’Fhéile na Carraige. Bhí maidin galánta againn lán craic agus IMG-20151008-WA0018IMG-20151008-WA0014ceoil, bhí tae, caife sconnógaí agus bonnógaí deasa baile againn a bhuí le Saffron. Bhain na mná taitneamh as an suíomh gaelach a cothaíodh ag éisteacht le ceol tradisiúnta galánta a bhí ag IMG-20151008-WA0016seinm ag Deirdre Glawy agus Myles MacCormack. Bhí Liam Óg, Caolán agus Aaron ann ón Choláiste ann le píosa craic a chur leis an mhaidin agus an biongó a laimhseáil. Maith sibh leaids!

Slí na Gaeltachta

 

 

Thóg Feargal MacIonnrachtaigh daltaí Chumainn Ghaelaigh Choláiste Feirste ar Shlí na Gaeltachta, turas IMG-20151008-WA0010treoraithe na Ceathrún Gaeltachta mar chuid IMG-20151008-WA0005d’Fhéile na Carraige. Is iad baill Chuibhreannais Shlí na Gaeltachta ná Forbairt Feirste, IMG-20151008-WA0006Fáilte Feirste Thiar, An Chultúrlann agus Ealíon Phoiblí Uachtar Chluanaí agus tá an tionscadal maoinithe ag Comhairle Cathrach Bhéal Feirste agus ag Feidhmeannas Tithíochta IMG-20151008-WA0011Thuaisceart Éireann. Conair chomhtháite bhrandáilte is ea Slí na Gaeltachta a thosaíonn i lár chathair Bhéal Feirste agus a shníomhann fad 2.2 mhíle go dtí Bóthar na Carraige Báine. Tá 26 plaic eibhir a dhéanann ceiliúradh ar oidhreacht chultúrtha, liteartha, spóirt agus ealaíne na Ceathrún Gaeltachta. Tá muintir Bhéal Feirste agus cuairteoirí araon ábalta an tslí uilig a leanúint ar fad nó díreach codanna di a thriall.

Coffee Morning

 

 

We had a coffee morning in Corpus Christ Parish Hall with Corpus Christi Services’s Happy go Lucky group as part of Féile na Carraige. We had a lovely morning with plenty of tea, coffee and lovely IMG-20151008-WA0014homemade scones and buns curtesy of Saffron. The ladies IMG-20151008-WA0018enjoyed the lovely Irish atmosphere with the fantastic traditional IMG-20151008-WA0016music of Deirdre Galway and Myles McCormack. Coláiste Feirste’s Liam óg, Caolán and Aaron were on hand to entertain the Happy go Lucky ladies and handle the bingo. Well done lads!

Slí na Gaeltachta

 

 

Forbairt Feirste’s Feargal MacIonnrachtaigh facilitated a guided tour of the Gaeltacht Quarter (Slí na Gaeltachta) for memers of Coláiste Feirste’s Cumann Gaelach. Slí na IMG-20151008-WA0010Gaeltachta consortium IMG-20151008-WA0005comprises Forbairt Feirste, Fáilte Feirste Thiar, An Chultúrlann and the Upper Springfield Public Art project and has received financial assistance from the Houising Executive and Belfast City Council. Slí IMG-20151008-WA0006na Gaeltachta is an integrated and commonly branded trail of some 2.2 miles beginning in Belfast City Centre and leading to just beyond the Whiterock and Falls roadIMG-20151008-WA0011 junctions through the heart of the city’s Gaeltacht Quarter.There are 26 stone plaques that celebrate elements of the cultural, linguistic, sporting, literary and artistic heritage of the Gaeltacht Quarter illuminating the quarter in ways which will allow citizens of Belfast and visitors to the city an easy to follow trail, or indeed allowing them to pick it up at any point along its route.
