Feile na Carraige – Lá a Sé/ Day Six

[Gaeilge]

Bhí lá galánta againn don Lá Spraoi, bhain na páistí agus teaghlaigh áitiúla sult as. Bhain na páistí agus daoine óga taitneamh as an phéinteáil aghaidhe, an draíodóir agus bhí am an mhaith acu ar an chaisleán preabcháin agus an cúrsa bacainne.

I ndiaidh sin, chuaigh gach duine suas go Lámh Dhearg le tacú le Laochra Loch Lao agus na foirne áitiúla eile ag imirt i gCorn Uí Cheallaigh. Bhí bua ag Lámh Dhearg agus bhain gach duine sult as scoth an cheoil le Róise NicCorraidh agus Seán mór MacCorraidh.

Bhí buaicphointe na Féile ar an oíche Shathairn le Gráinne Holland agus KÍLA ag baint an dín de Naomh Eoin. Théigh an Gráinne Holland tallannach gach duine suas, ansin ghlac an banna ceoil is fear in Éirinn KÍLA chun staitse don teach lán. Oíche dén chéad scoith a bhí ann. Féile na Carraige Abú!!

Saturday dawned nice and bright for our Fun Day, local children and local families enjoyed the funday. The children and young people enjoyed having their faces painted, the magician show and had a great time on the bouncy castle and obstacle course.

We then went to Lámh Dhearg to cheer on Laochra Loch Lao and the rest of the local teams competing in the Oliver Kelly Cup. Lámh Dhearg was victorious and everyone enjoyed a great music session with both Róise NicCorraidh and Seán MacCorraidh.

Saturday night was the highlight of the week with Gráinne Holland and KÍLA raising the roof in St John’s. The very talented Gráinne got the crowd warmed up, Ireland’s finest; KÍLA then took to the stage for a full house. A smashing night!! Féile na Carraige Abú!!
