Turas Cultúrtha Lochcraobh/Loughcrew
Bhí turas cultúrtha den chéad scoith ag muintir Ghlór na Móna chuig Lochcraobh i gCo. na Mí ar na mallaibh. Sholáthár an turas deis mhaith dár fhoghlaimeoirí a gcuid Gaeilge a cleachtadh i suíomh sóisálta agus le cur le heolas feasachta s’acu i leith stair Lochcraoibhe. Bhí turas treoraithe againn ar Sliaibh na gCaillí agus chuaigh muid go Fómhar san Iarmhí inár thug ár saineolaí féin, Matt Lundy turas treoraithe dúinn a bhí mion agus siamsiúil mar is gnáth. Chríochnaigh muid an turas le dinnéar deas i dtabhairne sa Mhí le daoine ag cur tuilleadh aithnne ar a chéile le chraic agus cómhra roimh pilleadh ar Bhéal Feirste ar bhus lán-ceoil. Maith sibh!

We recently had a fantastic cultural trip to Lochcrew in County Meath for Glór na Móna folk. The trip provided a great opportunity for our learners to practice their Irish in a social environment and to add to their knowledge regarding Lochrew’s history. We had a guided tour on Sliabh na gCaillí (translated as mountain of the witch) and we traveled along to Fore in Westmeath where our very own Matt Lundy provided us with a detailed and entertaining as always tour. We ended the trip with a lovely dinner in a tavern in Meath getting to know one another better with craic and conversation before making the journey back to Belfast on a song filled bus. Math sibh!
