Scoil Gheimhridh Uí Chadhain | Political Education Winter School 2022

Named after the radical Irish-speaking socialist-republican Máirtín Ó Cadhain, Scoil Gheimhridh was organised to provide a democratic and inclusive platform and space for activists across a wide range of community campaigns that contribute to our collective fight for a new Ireland which embodies the watchwords Liberty, Equality and Solidarity.

The political education project was organised to give voice to the ‘view from below’ by creating a friendly and comradely opportunity for activists to explore and debate the most challenging issues facing our society today. This can, in our view, provide a practical tool kit for action and a unique opportunity to ‘join the dots’ and build collaborative alliances between grass-roots organisations and campaigns that can strengthen existing activist networks.

We will continue with this project – everyone is welcome to join this conversation and we would encourage like minded, progressive activists and individuals to contribute to this once in a lifetime opportunity.
